Shelby Puckett and Kelsi Graffis each scored 10 points as Tekoa-Oakesdale upset top-ranked Curlew 37-26 in a girls Class 1B state quarterfinal game Thursday night.

Puckett had eight points in the first half as the Nighthawks (19-7) and Cougars (23-2) traded six-point leads before intermission.

Graffis scored the first five points of the second half as T-O built an eight-point lead (27-19) midway through the third quarter. Curlew, which only scored seven points in the second half, never got closer than three points the rest of the way.

T-O dominated the backboards, 51-31. Puckett pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds, and Graffis snared eight.

Nichole Miller led Curlew with nine points and 10 rebounds.
