Chelsi Pakootas scored 14 points and Destiny Christianson added 10 as third-ranked Inchelium remained alive in the Class 1B girls state tournament with a 42-37 consolation victory over Pateros on Friday.

The Hornets, who improved to 19-6, will play at noon Saturday for fourth and seventh places.

Chenise Pakootas pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds for Inchelium, which led wire-to-wire.

Michelle Bruno scored 20 points and Rachel Beardslee had 10 rebounds for the Nannies, who ended their season at 16-9.
