Katie Redman and Courtney Shoemaker each scored 13 points as Garfield-Palouse eliminated Taholah, 56-30, from the Class 1B girls state tournament Thursday.

The Vikings, who improved to 15-10, outscored the Chitwins 37-19 over the middle two quarters to put the game away.

Monica Kautz paced Taholah, which ended its season at 18-3, with 14 points.

Redman snared nine rebounds and Bridget Bower eight as Gar-Pal outrebounded Taholah 47-31. The Vikings also came up with 19 steals, including eight by Bower, as Taholah committed 26 turnovers.
