King's holds off
Freeman
Fuhlendorf scores 23 to pace 57-49 win over Scotties

Erich Fuhlendorf's
basket and free throw late in the third quarter pushed King's ahead to
stay as the Knights went on for a 57-49 consolation-bracket victory over
Freeman on Thursday in the Class 1A state basketball tournament.
Fuhlendorf scored a
game-high 23 points, including 16 in the first half, as the Knights
improved to 21-6. Freeman ended its season at 17-12.
The back-and-forth
contest featured 24 lead changes, the last when Fuhlendorf broke a 36-36
tie with a 3-point play with 37 seconds to play in the third quarter.
King's scored the
first seven points of the final period and never led by fewer than six
points the rest of the way.
Dylan O'Neil added 15
points and a game-high 14 rebounds for the Knights, and Bryan Ayers
chipped in 11.
Taylor Vold scored 14
points and pulled down seven rebounds for Freeman. Marc Soelberg had 13
points, and Chris Miller added seven rebounds.
