Levi Davis sank four free throws in the final 41 seconds to help lift fourth-ranked River View past defending champion Brewster 47-45 in the Class 1A boys state quarterfinals Thursday.

The win sends the Panthers (22-3) into Friday's 4 p.m. semifinal against White Swan. It's the first time in six years Brewster (17-11) hasn't advanced to the title game.

Davis' free throws capped a seesaw battle that featured 13 lead changes. Kyle Gier gave RV the lead for good, 43-42, with a free throw with 1:33 to play.

Brewster had a chance to tie the game after Davis' final free throw, but Wade Gebbers was called for a charge under his own basket, effectively ending the game.

Davis finished with a game-high 22 points and six rebounds, and Gier had eight rebounds.

Cole Youngers paced Brewster with 15 points and 11 rebounds, Eli Driessen added 11 points and Gebbers had nine.
