Jon Ramos' driving layup pushed Cedar Park Christian ahead to stay as the Eagles ousted Toledo from the Class 1A boys state tournament with a 48-40 consolation victory Friday.

The win sends the Eagles into Saturday's 9 a.m. game for fifth and eighth places.

Ramos finished with a game-high 26 points, and scored the Eagles' final six points from the free-throw line in the final 41 seconds as the Indians were forced to foul to get the ball back.

CPC, which improved to 16-8, outscored Toledo 14-2 in the fourth quarter after trailing by five points early in the third.

Ramos made 7 of 15 shots, including 3 of 8 3-pointers. He was 9 for 9 from the free-throw line.

Daniel Raschick added eight points and eight rebounds, and Riley Bettinger also had eight points.

Jarrod Yates scored 13 points and David Wallace had 10 for Toledo, which ended its year at 14-13.
