King's takes fifth in
OT
Fuhlendorf lead Knights over Cedar Park Christian 50-48

Erich Fuhlendorf swished
a 3-pointer with 1:26 to play in overtime, and Dylan O'Neil added a free
throw with nine seconds left to lift King's to a 50-48 overtime win over
Cedar Park Christian for fifth place in the Class 1A boys state
tournament Saturday.
An off-balance
3-pointer by CPC at the buzzer hit the rim and bounced away.
Fuhlendorf finished
with a game-high 26 points for the second-ranked Knights, who finished
23-6. CPC, which finished eighth at 16-9, earned the school's first
trophy.
O'Neil added 17 points
and seven rebounds for King's, which earned the school's 15th trophy.
Fuhlendorf had 11 rebounds.
Jon Ramos led the
Eagles with 16 points, and Riley Bettinger added 15. Josh Orrico, whose
two free throws with 48 seconds remaining in regulation knotted the
score at 42-42 and eventually sent the game into overtime, pulled down a
game-high 13 rebounds.
The back-and-forth
contest featured 10 lead changes and 10 ties. CPC had the game's biggest
lead, 17-13 early in the second quarter.
