Zelda Porter sank a free throw with six seconds left as Vashon Island held off Bellevue Christian 46-44 on Thursday in the Class 1A girls state tournament consolation bracket.

Vashon Island held a 10-point lead twice in the fourth quarter, but the Vikings stormed back with a 10-1 run over a 4:03 span to cut the score to 45-44.

After a foul, Porter stepped to the line, missed the first shot, then sank the second.

BC didn't get off a shot before the game ended.

Chrissy Swope led the Pirates (17-9) with 15 points, and Kelly Costello added 12. Porter finished with six.

Terra Oldham led the Vikings (19-5) with 15 points, and Sara Contessa pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds.
