Kelli Bowers poured in a game-high 18 points to lead Chelan to a 61-44 consolation-round victory over Onalaska on Thursday in the Class 1A girls state tournament.

Bowers made 7 of 13 shots, including 3 of 7 3-point tries. Teammate Izzy Barth chipped in 13 points.

Chelan (19-7) took a 15-point lead late in the first half, saw it dip to two points early in the third quarter and then extended it back to 18 points in the fourth. Barth had 10 points during the second-half run.

Onalaska, which ended its year at 17-8, got 15 points and 10 rebounds from Kalie Ritchey. But the Loggers went cold from the floor in the second half, making just 6 of 30 shots (20 percent).

The Loggers also committed 22 turnovers, which Chelan turned into 28 points.

Kim Harter grabbed four of Chelan's 12 steals.
