Wilson leads Liberty Christian's 48-42 trophy-securing win

Mark Wilson scored a
game-high 23 points and Jeremy Siefken added 15 as Liberty Christian
advanced to Saturday's trophy round with a 48-42 win over Odessa in the
Class 1B boys state consolation bracket Friday.
Wilson poured in 14
points in the first half, including a putback to opening the scoring and
give the Patriots a lead they would never relinquish.
Derek Stratton pulled
down a team-high nine rebounds and Wilson had seven. Wilson also
finished with an assist, a blocked shot and two steals.
The Patriots shot
well, converting 41.5 percent (17 of 41) of their field goals to just
32.7 percent (17 of 52) for Odessa.
James Glenn paced the
Tigers, who finished their season at 12-12, with 17 points, which
included a pair of 3-pointers. Teammate Travis King had a game-high 10
rebounds.
