Mark Wilson scored a game-high 22 points and sank three 3-pointers to lead top-ranked Liberty Christian to a 70-34 consolation-round victory over Oakville in the Class 1B boys state tournament Thursday morning.

Teammates Jeremy Siefken and Derek Stratton added 13 and 12 points, respectively, for the Patriots, who improved to 19-7.

LC dominated offensively and defensively, converting 26 of 67 (38.8) percent of its shots, including 17 of 34 (50 percent) in the first half, when the Patriots pulled out to a 44-24 halftime advantage.

Defensively, the Patriots outrebounded the Acorns 53-28. Stratton pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds, and Grant Howard added 10. LC also snared 10 steals, including four from Siefken and three from Stratton, and pressured the Acorns into 22 turnovers.

Nathan Page scored 12 points for Oakville, which ended its year at 10-12.
