ACH pulls away, 55-40

Osborne paces Warriors' victory with 16 points

Nikki Osborne scored a game-high 16 points and teammate Sarah Gloyn added 13 as Almira/Coulee-Hartline beat Taholah 55-40 in the first round of the Class 1B girls state basketball tournament Wednesday.

Osborne scored 11 of her points in the second half as ACH rallied from a 24-21 halftime deficit. Her 3-pointer with two seconds remaining in the third quarter put the Warriors (12-11) ahead to stay, 39-38.

Osborne pulled down eight rebounds, and had five assists and six steals. Teammate Kazia Starkenburg had a game-high 11 rebounds.

Freshman Tillie McCrory lead Taholah (13-9) with 12 points, and Kailana Charley added 11. McCrory also had nine rebounds.
