Colton races into
semis
Meyer scored 13 points to lead Wildcats' 52-35 victory

Chelsea Meyer scored 10
of her team-high 13 points in the second half as third-ranked Colton
beat Almira/Coulee-Hartline 52-35 in the quarterfinals of the Class 1B
girls state tournament Thursday.
The win sends the
Wildcats (22-3) into Friday’s 5:30 p.m. semifinal against Touchet.
Meyer made 5 of 12
shots, including 3 of 10 3-point attempts. Teammate Kelsey Moser added
11 points, and Alisa Moehrle-Druffel had nine points, eight rebounds,
three assists and a steal.
Colton took the lead
for good midway through the second quarter, and held a 28-20 halftime
lead. ACH (12-12) never got closer.
Sarah Gloyn led the
Warriors with 14 points, and Breanna Martin added eight points and seven
rebounds.
Colton converted 10 of
38 3-point tries in the game.
