Pine lifts PT to win, 47-45

McClelland leads Redskins with 18 points, nine rebounds

Dakotah Pine sank a baseline jumper with two seconds left to lift Port Townsend to a 47-45 victory over Bellevue Christian for third place in the Class 1A boys state tournament Saturday.

BCS was unable to get off a shot before the final horn.

The win gave the Redskins (23-4) their 13th trophy in their 26th state appearance. Last year, PT placed sixth in Class 2A.

Parker McClelland led PT with 18 points and nine rebounds.

Jeff Rerucha led the Vikings (19-8) with 19 points and teammate Taylor Stack pulled down eight rebounds.

BC earned its fifth straight trophy in 13 appearances and now has eight placings overall.
