Kyle Terriere's field goal with just over two minutes to play in overtime pushed Seattle Academy ahead to stay, and the Cardinals went on for a 56-50 victory over Castle Rock in the Class 1A boys state tournament Wednesday.

Terriere's shot snapped a 48-48 tie with 2:01 to play. The Cardinals put the game away with six free throws.

Castle Rock, which led by 13 points midway through the second quarter, collapsed in the second half. SA started the third quarter with a 15-4 run that knotted the score at 25-25, and pushed ahead by eight points twice in the fourth quarter.

But CR's Steven Horsley tied the score at 46-46 with a 3-pointer with 12 seconds left in regulation. SA's last-second shot missed its mark.

Terriere and Patrick McMahon led the Cardinals (14-11) with 15 points each. Adrian Brandon added 14 and Rian Claxton 10.

McMahon pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds.

Zack Gehring scored 18 points for the Rockets (17-6) and pulled down nine rebounds.
