Hannah Trigg's layup with 1:06 to play pushed LaCenter ahead, and the Wildcats hung on for a 47-45 consolation victory over Burbank on Thursday in the Class 1A girls state tournament.

Trigg's basket lifted LaCenter to a 46-45 lead. Burbank missed three field-goal tries and a pair of free throws in the final 43 seconds that would have given the Coyotes the lead, and Trigg sank a free throw with three seconds left for the final margin.

Katrina Chamberlain led LaCenter (15-6) with 13 points and 16 rebounds, and Trigg and Lauren Baker each chipped in 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Burbank's Tiffany Idler scored a game-high 30 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. Teammate Nicole Roberts had 15 rebounds. Both fouled out in the final 1:30 of the game.

Idler made 9 of 25 shots, including 3 of 6 3-point tries.
