Tiffany Tornow scored a game-high 22 points as Toledo routed LaCenter 57-41 on Friday in the Class 1A girls state tournament consolation bracket.

Tornow, who made 8 of 18 shots -- including 6 of 14 3-pointers, sank 17 of her points in the first half. A Tornow trey early in the first quarter pushed the Indians ahead to stay.

The win moves the Indians (19-6) into Saturday's 8:30 a.m. game against Chelan for fifth and eighth places.

Katrina Chamberlain led LaCenter with 11 points and nine rebounds, and teammate Sydney Wise pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds.

Toledo's defense grabbed 14 steals, including four from Lacey Scott, as the Wildcats committed 33 turnovers. Toledo turned those miscues into 21 points.
