Kelli Bowers scored 12 of her game-high 13 points in the second half to lift Chelan to a 56-45 fifth-place win over Toledo on Saturday in the Class 1A girls state tournament.

The Goats, who ended the year at 23-6 and won their ninth state trophy, used a 19-7 run in the third quarter to rally from a three-point halftime deficit. Bowers had two 3-pointers during the quarter.

Jaicee Harris added 12 points and grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds for Chelan.

The Goats defense also snared 18 steals, including three each from Harris, Houston Robison, Kilee Lippincott and Bowers. Toledo committed 23 turnovers, which Chelan converted into 22 points.

Kelsey Stone led Toledo, which finished the year at 19-7 and won its first state trophy since 2002, with 11 points, and Candi Zion had 10.

Toledo, which placed eighth, made just 28 percent (14 of 50) of its shots, including only 17 percent (4 of 24) in the second half.
