Three Scotties scored in double-figures as second-ranked Freeman routed LaCenter 66-30 on Wednesday in the Class 1A girls state tournament.

Megan McIntyre scored a game-high 15 points to lead the Scotties (24-0), who traded early leads with LaCenter before going on a 21-2 run that spanned the first and second quarters to take the lead for good.

Carley Heinen and Korina Baker each added 10 points for Freeman, which outshot LaCenter 44 percent (25 of 57) to 23 percent (11 of 47).

The Scotties mustered 18 steals, including six from Lyndsey Ruland and four from Baker, and turned 24 Wildcat turnovers into 16 points.

Lauren Baker led the Wildcats (14-6) with 14 points.
