ACH tops Cusick for 3rd
Warriors charge out of the gate for 59-46 win over Cusick

Cody Jess poured in a game-high 19 points and led second-ranked Almira/Coulee-Hartline
to a 59-46 victory over Cusick for third place in the Class 1B boys
state tournament Saturday.
Teammates Garrett Jess and Derek Isaak added 14 and 10 points,
respectively, for the Warriors, who led wire-to-wire.
ACH (22-5) earned its 12th state trophy in its 21st state appearance.
Cusick (20-7) took its fourth trophy in its fifth tournament trip.
The Warriors build a 36-25 halftime lead thanks to hot shooting: they
converted 48.3 percent (14 of 29) of their shots, including 4 of 9
3-point tries.
Cody Jess made 7 of 13 shots, including 3 of 5 behind the 3-point arc.
Tyler Edwards led Cusick with 12 points and eight rebounds.
Garrett Jess and Kyle Tucker led the Warriors' rebounding effort with 12
and 10, respectively. ACH outrebounded the Panthers 49-37.
