Yarbro paces MCL win
Lions rally back, top Oakville 62-51 for first-round victory

Riggs Yarbro poured in 19 of his game-high 29 points in the second half
as top-ranked Moses Lake Christian fought off Oakville 62-51 in the
first round of the Class 1B boys state tournament Wednesday.
Yarbro converted 8 of his final 11 shots in the second half, and pushed
the Lions ahead to stay, 43-41, with a field goal with 38 seconds left
in the third. Teammate Adrian Moffet added 24 points, with 17 in the
first half.
Oakville, led by Izaha Powell's 22 points, trailed by eight points just
before the half, then rolled off the game's next 12 points, including 10
straight to open the third quarter.
Yarbro pulled in 14 rebounds and Johnny Roberts 12 as Moses Lake
Christian dominated the backboards 44-20.
Tucker Reinitz scored 12 points and Berry Peterson 11 for the Acorns.
