ACH rebounds, wins big

Balanced scoring effort paces Warriors' 53-22 victory

Madenline Isaak scored 11 points and led a balanced scoring effort as second-ranked Almira/Coulee-Hartline rebounded from a stunning first-round loss to eliminate Pateros from the Class 1B girls state tournament Thursday.

The Warriors, who improved to 23-2, got points from eight of their 10 players as they led throughout. ACH's biggest lead, 32 points, came early in the fourth quarter.

Nikki Osborne added nine points, and Megan Osborne and Kara Erickson each chipped in eight.

Jamie Bruno led the Nannies with 12 points and six rebounds.

ACH converted 42.9 percent (18 of 42) of its shots, while Pateros made just 18 percent (9 of 50).
