Tina Raynor scored all 14 of her points in the second half as St. Michael's rallied back for a 55-49 opening-round victory over Taholah in the Class 1B girls state tournament Wednesday.

The Warriors, who trailed 22-8 after the first quarter, erupted for 28 points in the fourth quarter and took the lead for good when Katie Urann hit a field goal with 2:48 to play. A minute and 28 seconds later, they were up by five.

Urann also finished with 14 points, and Katie Drass scored a team-high 17. Urann pulled down a game-high 19 rebounds, and Drass had 14.

Kailani Charley led Taholah with 23 points, but only had five after intermission. Alexi McCray added 12 points, and Tillie Grover-McCory pulled down 13 rebounds.
