Storm rolls in opener

Stackhouse leads Squalicum's 55-39 win with 22 points

Keith Stackhouse poured in 22 points as top-ranked Squalicum routed Pullman 55-39 on Wednesday in the Class 2A boys state tournament.

Stackhouse made 8 of 16 shots and 5 of 6 free throws as the Storm (23-1) maintained a comfortable lead in the second half.

Derek Dickerson added 15 points and three of the Storm's 12 steals.

Squalicum's defense helped force Pullman into 20 turnovers, which it then converted into 19 points.

Jaime Fertakis scored 14 points and pulled down 13 rebounds for the Greyhounds (17-8).
