Pullman gets shot at 5th

Levenseller scores 19 to lead Greyhounds to 55-40 win

Jordan Levenseller poured in a game-high 19 points to lead fifth-ranked Pullman to a 55-40 consolation victory over Bellingham on Friday in the Class 2A girls state tournamant.

The win sends the Greyhounds (22-4) into Saturday's 8:30 a.m. contest for fifth or eighth places against Othello.

Shelby Cheslek added 14 points and pulled down a game-high 19 rebounds for Pullman, which led the entire game. She also blocked seven shots, grabbed two steals and dished out a pair of assists.

The Greyhounds had a hot shooting touch, converting 51 percent (23 of 45) of their shots. The Red Raiders (14-14) made just 26 percent (17 of 66).

Devin Pearsall led Bellingham with 16 points and seven rebounds, and Kristin Baker also pulled down seven rebounds.
