King's races past Toledo
Berendsen leads Knights to 52-31 first-round victory

Daniel Berendsen scored
a game-high 13 points to lead sixth-ranked King's past Toledo 52-31 in
the first round of the Class 1A boys state tournament Wednesday.
Ryan Hoff chipped in
12 points as the Knights (20-6) slowly kept extending their lead.
King's shot 44 percent
(21 of 48) from the field while the Indians (16-8) made just 24 percent
(11 of 46).
Each team had 18
turnovers, but King's managed 10 steals and converted the Toledo miscues
into 18 points.
Berendsen pulled down
a game-high 10 rebounds as the Knights managed a 41-32 rebounding
advantage.
David Wallace paced
Toledo with seven points. Jesse Wallace grabbed six rebounds.
