Bree Oldham and Maren Haines each scored 12 points to lead Bellevue Christian to a 40-33 consolation win over Rainier on Thursday in the Class 1A girls state tournament.

Haines grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds as BC outrebounded the Mountaineers 46-37. Oldham added 10 rebounds.

Kristen Schoenherr led Rainier with 12 points, and Kara Schoenherr added 10.

But the Mountaineers hurt their cause with 26 turnovers and poor shooting, making 24 percent (14 of 54) of their shots.

The Vikings barely shot better, making 26 percent (14 of 54).
