Freeman rolls, 60-37

Taylor's 16 leads Scotties past fifth-ranked Onalaska

MacKenzie Taylor scored 16 points as third-ranked Freeman took an early lead and raced to a 60-37 quarterfinal victory over Onalaska on Thursday in the Class 1A girls state tournament.

Megan McIntyre added 13 points as the Scotties improved to 24-1. Fifth-ranked Onalaska slipped to 20-7.

Taylor scored 12 of her points in the first half. She also grabbed six rebounds.

Molly McIntyre led Freeman with seven rebounds, while Megan McIntrye and Alyssa Maine pulled down six each. Korina Baker dished out eight assists.

Kalie Ritchey and Autumn Durand led the Loggers with eight points each, and Durand also pulled in nine rebounds.
