Warriors finish fifth

Petersen leads Seattle Christian's 48-33 win over BC

Lexi Petersen scored 13 points as Seattle Christian rolled to fifth place with a 48-33 victory over Bellevue Christian on Saturday in the Class 1A girls state tournament.

Petersen scored seven points and Maddie Harris chipped in all nine of her points in the first half, when the Warriors (24-2) pulled out to a 19-3 lead after the first quarter.

Katie Collier added 12 points and Kara Kogle 10 for SC, which earned its third trophy in 12 state appearances.

Collier also pulled down 10 rebounds as SC battled to a 35-32 rebounding advantage. Kogle added seven.

Alina Valle led the Vikings (20-7) with 18 points before fouling out.

Bellevue Christian earned its fourth trophy in eight state trips.
