Leslie Stillar poured in a game-high 23 points to lift sixth-ranked Lakeside of Nine Mile Falls over Toledo 52-39 on Wednesday in the first round of the Class 1A girls state tournament.

Stillar sank 8 of 16 shots, including 3 of 8 3-pointers, and scored 13 of her points in the second half. Lexie Zappone and Kendra Lahue chipped in 10 points each.

The Indians (21-2) hung tough, trailing 37-34 early in the fourth quarter before Lakeside went on a 12-2 run (with five points from Lahue) to pull to a comfortable lead.

Alex Daggy pulled down a game-high nine rebounds for Lakeside (22-3).

Tiffany Tornow scored 20 points and Brianna Votaw grabbed eight rebounds for Toledo.
