Cari Williams sparked a 9-0 run with a 3-pointer late in the third quarter, and seventh-ranked Chelan went on for a 49-41 victory over Bellevue Christian on Wednesday in the Class 1A girls state tournament.

Kelli Bowers, who also had a 3-pointer during that charge, finished with a game-high 14 poitns and Jaicee Harris added 12. Williams finished with seven.

The Goats (21-4) overcame 23 turnovers for the victory, but their offense also came away with 17 steals, including five from Harris and four from Bowers.

Bowers led the rebounding effort with eight.

Maren Haines scored 12 points and brought down a game-high 15 rebounds for the Vikings (18-6), while Kelly Taylor scored 11 points.

The Vikings, who led 23-22 at halftime, converted just 6 of 22 3-point tries.
