Jasmine Hommes poured in 15 points to lead second-ranked Lynden Christian past Rainier, 59-26, on Wednesday in the Class 1A girls state tournament.

Kayleigh Ryan chipped in 11 points for the Lyncs (22-3), who led the entire game. Ashley Curhuff added nine.

The Lyncs raced out to a 34-8 halftime lead with hot shooting, as they converted 13 of 28 first-half field goals (46 percent). The Mountaineers (18-6) made just 13 percent (3 of 24) during that span.

Kristen Schoenherr scored eight points to lead Rainier.

Ryan pulled down eight rebounds, and Hommes and Carhuff both grabbed seven. Hommes also blocked two shots.
