Sarah Barnes canned a 3-pointer as regulation time expired, and sank another in overtime as Onalaska rallied back to beat Nooksack Valley 53-46 on Wednesday in the Class 1A girls state tournament.

Barnes' regulation-ending shot came after Nooksack's Allison Johnson hit the front end of a 1-and-1 with 2 seconds left to give the Pioneers a 38-35. Johnson missed the second shot, and Onalaska got the rebound out of bounds.

On the inbounds pass, Ritchey heaved the ball across court, Barnes grabbed it about 25 feet away from the basket, whirled and tossed in the trey at the horn.

Kalie Ritchey, who scored a game-high 21 points, Hailey Givens and Samantha Gordon each scored four points in OT to push the Loggers (20-6) to the win.

Onalaska trailed 23-10 midway through the third quarter before mounting its rally.

Gordon finished with 10 points, and Autumn Durang pulled down nine rebounds.

Austen Beard scored 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for Nooksack Valley (15-11), and Johnson finished with 14 points and eight rebounds.
