Warriors rout CPC

Petersen pours in 25 points as SC wins 61-29

Rebounding from an upset loss a day earlier, top-ranked Seattle Christian powered past Cedar Park Christian 61-29 in the Class 1A girls state tournament Thursday.

Lexi Petersen poured in 25 points on 10-of-16 shooting for SC, while Katie Collier added 16 points, 12 rebounds, eight blocked shots and four steals.

The Warriors improved to 23-2. CPC ended its year at 15-9.

SC shot 43 percent (24 of 56) from the field, including 52 percent (17 of 33) in the first half, when the Warriors shot out to a 44-6 halftime lead.

Mikaela Raschick led the Eagles with eight points and nine rebounds.

The Eagles turned the ball over 25 times, which the Warriors converted into 26 points.
