Pateros hangs on, 33-31
Billygoats will play for fifth place Saturday morning

Harvey each sank a pair of free throws in the final 40 seconds as
Pateros held on to edge Lopez 33-31 on Friday in the Class 1B boys state
consolation bracket.
The win earned Pateros
its first 1B trophy; the Billygoats (21-5) will play Saturday for fifth
and eighth places. Lopez finished its year at 17-9.
Bighouse sank two free
throws with 39.5 seconds left to give Pateros a 31-28 lead in a game
that featured six lead changes and six ties.
Harvey converted both
of his shots with 19.9 seconds before Lopez' Alex Buffum nailed a
3-pointer to close the gap.
Keldon Jardine tipped
Pateros' inbounds pass and Lopez regained possession, but the Lobos'
final shot missed its mark.
Abram Wilson led
Pateros with 12 points, while Bighouse finished with nine.
Buffum led Lopez with
11 points, and Mica Arps pulled down 12 rebounds.
