Cusick rolls to 54-32 win
Bluff scores 18 to lead Panthers to first-round victory

Louie Bluff scored a
game-high 18 points as Cusick rolled past Lake Quinault 54-32 on
Wednesday in the first round of the Class 1B boys state tournament.
The Panthers (20-6) jumped out to an 8-0, with four points from Bluff,
and led wire to wire. Tyler Edwards and Spencer Shanholtzer each added
13 points for Cusick.
Edwards pulled in a game-high 15 rebounds as the Panthers dominated the
backboards, 53-33. Shanholtzer and Jacob Prine each had seven.
Cameron Pumphrey and Josiah Rhoades led Lake Quinault (15-9) with seven
points each. Pumphrey added 10 rebounds.
Cold shooting doomed the Elks. They made just 18 percent (11 of 60)
shots for the game, including 14 percent (4 of 29) in the first half.
