gets best finish
Redskins thump Moses Lake Chr., 72-52, for third place

Cody Flett poured in 26
points as Wellpinit raced to third place in the Class 1B boys state
tournament Saturday with a 72-52 victory over Moses Lake Christian.
The win gave the
Redskins (24-4) their highest finish in four state appearances, and just
their second trophy.
Kennedy Seyler added
14 points and Dakota Ford 13 for Wellpinit, which broke the game open
with a 19-9 second quarter. MLC never got closer than 16 in the second
half.
Stephan McNamara
scored 18 points and grabbed 18 rebounds for MLC (19-7).
Flett made 9 of 17
shots, including 2 of 7 3-point tries. Seyler chipped in 6 of 10 shots,
with a pair of 3-pointers.
Wellpinit's defense
came up with 11 steals, including three by Flett. MLC committed 23
turnovers, which the Redskins converted into 23 points.
