Neah Bay rolls, 71-29

Pullen pours in 20 points to lead Red Devils' victory

Ardus Pullen scored a game-high 20 points to lead Neah Bay to a 71-29 consolation victory over Taholah on Thursday in the Class 1B girls state tournament.

Rebecca Thompson added 13 points and Alisha Kallappa chipped in 12 for the Red Devils (22-1). Pullen also grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds.

Neah Bay raced out to a 26-2 lead after the first quarter, and Taholah (12-11) didn't mount a serious challenge after. The Red Devils shot 41 percent (31 of 75) to Taholah's 16 percent (9 of 58).

Tillie Grover-McCrory and Alice Johnstone led Taholah with 8 points each. Grover-McCrory grabbed 15 rebounds, and teammate Laura James added 10.
