No. 1 Colton rolls, 79-15

Defending champs race out to 33-0 halftime lead

Kelsey Moser scored 20 points and Haley Moser added 12 as defending Class 1B champion Colton beat King's Way-Seton 79-15 on Wednesday in the girls state tournament.

The top-ranked Wildcats (22-1) set a tournament record for largest victory margin (64 points), breaking the old mark of 56 set by Curlew in 2007.

King's Way-Seton (7-14), making its first-ever state appearance, tied records for lowest losing score (15) and least points in a quarter (0), twice.

The Wildcats jumped out to a 33-0 halftime lead. Both Mosers had eight points in the first half.

Colton pulled down a team-high 64 rebounds. Kelsey Moser, Mollie Kramer and McKenzie Heaslet each had nine.

Haley Moser had five of Colton's 21 steals.
