Ksenja Fredere scored all nine of her team's points in overtime as Wilson Creek rallied back from a 15-point second-half deficit to beat Taholah 62-59 in the first round of the Class 1B girls state tournament Wednesday.

Fredere finished with a game-high 36 points, breaking the individual game scoring record of 35 points set earlier in the day by Bickleton's Katelynn Clinton. Fredere converted 10 of 19 shots and made 16 of 24 from the free-throw line.

Wilson Creek (14-7) trailed 37-22 early in the second half, then went on a 17-4 run that spanned the third and fourth quarters, tying the game on a Fredere layup with 2:06 to play in regulation. A free throw to complete a 3-point play gave the Devils a 49-48 lead.

The teams traded the lead three times before Fredere's two free throws with 59 seconds left in the fourth tied the score at 53. A Fredere shot with 3 seconds left missed its mark, sending the game into overtime.

Federe also set records for most free throws made (16) and attempted (24) in a game, breaking the old marks of 10 and 13, respectively.

Wilson Creek grabbed 66 rebounds, including 14 each from Kali Winfrey and Holly Wilson, 13 from Brynna Stevens and 10 from Fredere.

Kailani Charley led Taholah (12-10) with 28 points on 10-of-23 shooting. She made 8 of 17 3-point attempts, setting a record for most 3-pointers made.
