NSC pulls away for win

Melissa Castor paces Lions' 43-27 victory with 17 points

Melissa Castor poured in 17 points as North Sound Christian beat 43-27 Wishkah Valley 43-27 on Wednesday in the Class 1B girls state tournament.

Jenna Otis added 10 points for the Lions, who improved to 16-3.

Jenna Castor hauled in nine rebounds and Melissa Castor eight for the Lions. Brittany Lovell grabbed 11 rebounds for Wishkah Valley (12-11).

The Loggerettes hurt their cause with 26 turnovers, which NSC converted into 17 second-chance points.
