Baker beats Hockinson
Bass scores 16 as Mountaineers pull out 59-56 win

Anderson Bass scored 16
points to lead Mount Baker to a 59-56 consolation-round victory over
Hockinson on Thursday in the Class 2A boys state tournament.
Bass poured in 12
points after intermission, when the Mountaineers (16-10) ralled from a
30-25 halftime deficit and used a 20-10 scoring surge in the fourth
quarter to pull out the win.
Zach Stalin added 15
points for Mount Baker, including a layup with 1:56 to play that gave
the Mountaineers the lead for good at 54-52.
Cole Larson led
Hockinson (15-10) with 16 points and nine rebounds, and Joshua Hall
chipped in 13 points and six rebounds.
Bass made 7 of 12
shots, including 2 of 4 3-point tries. Stalin made 6 of 10 attempts.
