Clarkston tops Sentinels
Sobotta knocks in 21 to lead Bantams to 63-50 victory

Trey Sobotta scored 21
points and Dustin McConnell chipped in 18 as Clarkston eliminated
Steilacoom, 63-50, from the Class 2A boys state tournament on Thursday.
Sobotta made 10 of 13
free throws, including 8 of 11 in the second half. McConnell sank all
six of his tries in the second half as the Bantams (17-7) pulled away at
the end with free throws.
Clarkston's defense
came up with seven steals, including four by McConnell, and helped
pressure Steilacoom into 19 turnovers. The Bantams converted those into
18 points.
Blayne Clanton led
Steilacoom (19-6) with 12 points and Kelvin Penn had 11 points and 14
rebounds.
Clarkston outrebounded
the Sentinels 38-35. Tommy Sperry grabbed 12 for the Bantams.
