Tigers roll to semifinals
Stewart's 22 lead Burlington-Edison past Fife, 60-49

Colin Stewart poured in
22 points to lead third-ranked Burlington-Edison to a 60-49 quarterfinal
victory over Fife on Thursday in the Class 2A boys state tournament.
Evan Coulter added 19
points for the Tigers (21-4), who put the game away with an 8-0 run to
end the third quarter and put B-E ahead 53-35.
Craig Babington
chipped in 10 points for B-E.
The Tigers shot 45
percent (23 of 51) for the game, including a 50 percent mark (14 of 28)
in the second half.
Fife, led by Anthony
Brescia's 12 points, managed just a 35 percent completion rate (18 of
51), and got off to a cold start in the first half, making just 26
percent (7 of 27) of its shots.
Coulter grabbed a
game-high 10 rebounds as B-E finished with a 38-25 rebounding advantage.
Coulter also snared
five of the Tigers' 14 steals.
