Storm upgrades to semis
Dickerson scores 24 to lead Squalicum to 8-63 victory

Derek Dickerson scored
24 points to lead top-ranked Squalicum to a 80-63 quarterfinal victory
over Mark Morris on Thursday in the Class 2A boys state tournament.
The win sends the
defending champion Storm (24-1) into Friday's 7:30 p.m. semifinals
against No. 2-ranked Ephrata.
Michael Greene added
17 points and Patrick Voeut 11 for the Storm, which shot 62 percent (29
of 47) for the game.
Dickerson sank 8 of 15
shots, including 5 of 12 3-point attempts.
Sean Atkins led Mark
Morris (21-4) with 19 points and 12 rebounds, and Cameron Carson added
13 points, including 3 3-pointers.
The Monarchs
outrebounded the Storm 43-23.
