Dickerson gets 20, Greene 19 in 94-64 victory

Derek Dickerson poured
in 20 points and led four Squalicum players in double figures as the
top-ranked Storm routed Clarkston 94-64 on Wednesday in the first round
of the Class 2A boys state tournament.
Dickerson scored 18
points in the first half as the defending champion Storm raced out to a
45-34 halftime lead. Michael Greene scored 11 of his 19 points after
halftime, when Squalicum pulled away.
Caleb Thompson added
13 points and Keith Stackhouse 10 for Squalicum (23-1).
The Storm shot 69
percent (40 of 58) for the game, including 83 percent (19 of 23) in the
second half. Clarkston (16-7) made 40 percent (25 of 63) in the contest.
Mitch Carey scored 11
points and Chanse Brownell 10 for the Bantams.
Squalicum dominated
the backboards, 41-18. Thompson pulled down nine and Greene six for the
Storm; Bryce James grabbed seven for Clarkston.
