Samira McDonald led three players in double figures with 16 points as top-ranked River Ridge beat Pullman 59-47 in the Class 2A girls state quarterfinals Thursday.

Kelsey Russell added 15 points -- 12 on four 3-pointers -- and Kyahri Adams 12 for the Hawks (24-1), who took the lead for good late in the first quarter.

Jordan Levenseller and Shelby Cheslek led Pullman (17-7) with 16 points each, but no other player scored more than six.

The Greyhounds hurt their cause with 26 turnovers, which the Hawks turned into 21 points.

Cheslek grabbed 12 rebounds and Katie Guettinger pulled down eight for Pullman, which outrebounded RR 41-35.
