Trevor Pynch scored a game-high 17 points and sank a Shootout record five 3-pointers as No. 1-ranked Riverside Christian trounced Sunnyside Christian 53-23 in a Greater Columbia B League contest in the Tourneytown.com Shootout.

Matt Horsley added 10 points and seven rebounds for the Crusaders, who improved to 7-0 in league play and 14-0 overall.

Riverside Christian built a 15-point halftime lead (24-9) and steadily pulled away in the second half. The Crusaders' largest advantage, 52-17, came on a layup by Zac Gifford with 1:10 to play in the game.

Sunnyside Christian, which won the Tourneytown.com matchup between the two schools last year, got 10 points from Chad Den Boer, but no other Knight player had more than four points.

RC pulled down a 37-25 rebounding advantage, and the Crusaders scored 14 points off rebounds. Besides Horsley's seven rebounds, teammate Joseph Hampton added seven rebounds.

Riverside's offense dished out 16 assists and its defense came up with 14 steals, including four each from Hampton and Horsley. The defense also helped force Sunnyside Christian into committing 20 turnovers.
