Bowman powers Lewis and Clark to 60-35 win

Heather Bowman scored 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting to lead Class 4A Lewis and Clark past River Ridge 60-35 Monday in the Tourneytown.com Shootout in the SunDome.

Katelyn Redmon scored all 10 of her points in the first half as the Tigers (11-0) rolled out to a 12-2 lead in the first quarter and built a comfortable 19-point advantage three times before halftime. Bowman added 10 of her points during the first half.

Sophie Russell scored nine points and Keisha McDonald added eight points for the Class 3A Hawks, who lost their second straight game and slipped to 12-2.

River Ridge, which never drew its deficit down closer than 12 points in the second half, committed a whopping 31 turnovers, including 19 in the first half. LC grabbed 19 steals, including five by Brittany Kennedy.
